Chidi Amanwa is a 28-year-old professional boxer from Crawley.
After 40+ amateur bouts, Chidi has won the National School Boy Championships, the National Development Championships twice, the Southern Counties title twice, and won the National Amateur Boxing Championships as a heavyweight in 2024. Chidi then went on to represent England in the Three Nations Cup.
Chidi's boxing journey started at Crawley Amateur Boxing Club at 8 years old where he was coached by Paul Hipperson and Paddy Harmey.
When I was 16, I moved to Battlebridge Boxing Club and with Coach George Brown in my corner, I won the National Development Championships. George setup Britania Boxing Club in 2020 and representing Britania I won the National Developments again, and went on to win the Elite National Championships in 2024.
After a very successful season, Chidi knew he was ready to take that next step.
I am now aiming to win titles in the professional ranks.
His professional career began last year with a hugely successful debut beating Goran Kozul with a fourth and final round stoppage. Chidi is now 3-0 and is scheduled to box on 14th of November this year, at Harrow Leisure Centre. All three of his professional fights so far have been won by KO and we are very excited to see Chidi step into the ring again!
Tickets for the fight will be on sale in the coming weeks. You can follow Chidi on instagram @chidi.amanwa
